The lesser travelled road

A career shaped by curiosity

Anna's professional journey began in tourism publishing, where she worked on the English Tourist Board's intelligence publication Insights before becoming its editor. Over fourteen years, she travelled widely, learned the many sides of the tourism industry and built an enduring network of inspiring contacts.

In 2005 she moved into consumer technology as editor of The Independent Electrical Retailer. The subject changed, but the essential skills remained: writing, editing, interviewing and turning complex ideas into clear, engaging stories.

Anna later moved into public relations and media work, including campaigns and educational projects focused on workplace wellbeing, mental health and air pollution.

A life in language and stories

Born in Warsaw, Anna moved to Britain in the 1980s. Her first novel, A Second Chance, was published in 2017 and follows Polish immigrants making their way in London in the late 1990s.

Her latest work brings her love of character, place and adventure to younger readers in The Fish and Chips Cat.
